haha, I'm certain that would refamiliarize the difference.

I only drove my car for about an hour with the stock shifter, so it's harder for me to remember the difference (three years ago).. but others have driven my car and commented on how short and precise the shifts are.

this is an awesome idea.. in reality, it will be harder for anyone to complain. I'll see if I can come up with something.

I've seen them before, but I think it was their product for the mkiv IIRC.

a mkiv STS (n/a or turbo) will not fit a mk3 (n/a or turbo)..

sounds like a good idea.. though if you use those 750's, you're going to need to manage fuel somehow. normally I'd recommend an AFC, but 750's are too large for that IMO.

drop 7M in datsun.. put JZ in supra. or, get out of modding while you still can :squint:

I run stock twins on the 1J, that is correct.. but I also had a T67 on an RB25, which is a very similar feeling setup.

I really appreciate the input! I've been running with the ECU there for around two years now and just now decided to put a head-unit back in. of course moving it to the stock location would be nice, but there are wires going every which way from having one of the local tuners do some patch work...

well, after searching some other forums (DSM, JZX), I found that some ECU's are installed in close proximity to the radio from the factory. outside of that, I found that quite a few folks run ECUs under their radio with zero issues. I'd still like some confirmation from anyone here that's...

For some reason when we were doing my 1J swap, we put the ecu where the factory headunit used to be.. this was done because we used the speedo hole swap method in order to not have to lengthen the factory harness, in addition to, the car not having a headunit of any sort when I bought it. so...
