as previously mentioned, the real question is if these come with the mounting clips.. some of them are either not available through Toyota any longer, or one has to buy the moldings from Toyota just to receive the clips.
either buy a U.S. R154 and then a 1J bellhousing.. or get both already together from Japan.
make sure to get a trans that hasn't been abused.. unless you plan to rebuild it.
IMO, the V160 is pointless for several reasons.. unless you have a bunch of money you feel like wasting.
If I wanted to go 6spd for some reason, it would be a T56.
usdm pre89 lamps are pretty much fail it seems.. then again I don't really require fog lamps here except for aesthetic reasons (hence I painted mine yellow).
'87 1J 5spd Targa.. I don't remember the exact number, but it was in the 33xx range IIRC. a decent amount of weight has been removed to be fair.. nothing too crazy though.
Champion (which by the way is TERRIBLE now since Jeff W. retired) told me the clips for the 89+ door moldings are no longer available after sending me a part that in no way resembles the correct one.
perhaps I'm late on this, but I was told one could still order the clips.. now, it's on to 3m...
going on vacation for two weeks.. life doesn't wait for pre89 Shine air guide's. hopefully I'm not too late when I get back, though I don't think that will be an issue.
when you are practically in tears after finding out the reason you couldn't get a hold of Jeff Watson was because he retired.. I'm honestly still sad over it.
high to low 80's? :squint:
anyhow, I deal with the same thing in mine.. it's usually only after I get on it for a bit though, and the fan is going full blast.
