hrm didnt hear about the te01 and e01 or read about it. i did mine via TSRM with setting it to 0 w/ cams. i would assume the 1jz would be exactly the same
hrm i routed my iac to the intake pipe. was that compression test done warmed up? do you have a voltmeter? i know my car sounds rough when it idles that low but maybe you hooked up your alt wire wrong and thats the cause for it sounding rough (my volts would dip below 12v and it started running...
as long as your car is running fine you wont need a pre cat to pass most emissions (mine passed with flying colors in colorado) i did use a high flow cat though
yeah imagine tearing that thing down then rebuilding it. leave that to the le mans teams :):)
the 1gg is a good platform if you want to goto a lower class for road racing. its a decent engine that can hold power pretty well.
going to ditch the n/a cams for some turbo ones? the n/a are...
mine worked but i also used the sensors from my old turbo trans =/ i had a JDM trans (60$ woot) and the speedo was on the other side. but after swapping the rear section it worked out fine.

but my front main is and cam seals :( but those are easy to get to. either way i think i will doublecheck the rear main once i put my new clutch on
