It was one those things where i did something that had nothing to do with the o2 sensor and it magically worked. Pretty much my alternator had some really bad connections that i did not notice until earlier today when all my warning lights turned on while i was driving. I re-did the plug wires...
Before widebands were really available what did people use? Egt and a narrow bands. Well the question/problem i post has been solved ..... but thanks for sharing with me your feelings on the a/f guage and not helping me figure out the problem ..... however for me its "purty" and i still BPU...
the guage is not giving me any feedback until i release the gas pedal ...... i am not sure but aren't they supposed to give you feed back all the time?
i did not miss that part but what i meant was ..... should i slice into the factory wire or slice into the wire off the button? or does it not really matter....
I am thinking big VAC leak b/c i played with the vac lines and the idle has improved .... but what about the code 21 i just installed a new Denso OEM o2.
Did not have the code 43 before the push button and they did not appear until almost a week after i installed it.
I took the battery out for about 30 mins the other day ...... that should have cleared the codes right? I know you are supposed to pull the EFI fuse but i was thinking pulling...
Ok i have been getting code 21 and 43. Code 21 is o2 sensor related and i have changed it with a new Denso o2. Code 43 is STA signal and is rare code .... i cant find much info on it. However my starter has been acting funny so i ran a push button start just to see if its the starter its self or...
HAHAHAHA ..... easy killah that "rule of thumb" came from one of the most respected and knowledgeable people in this MkIII community. I am sure his vote carries more weight than alot of people. I believe our oil pan and oiling system can hanlde like 8qts safely(**IIRC**) however I am not saying...
I bought a new starter (re-manufactured) and i have the same problem..... i ran a push button start from the fuse box to the button and then to the starter in hopes that it was a ignition issue but .... i have the same problem still.
Should i replace the starter or check for something else
