    VVTI to Non VVTI

On the 2J it's the same. That's why when you buy intake gaskets there is no vvt-i or non option. There might be something with the EGR system though.

    i love my mk3

I started with an old 88 n/a car 5 years ago and other than a bhg, that thing has never let me down. I've got almost 200k on it and it starts everytiem and drives worry free. It's one of the most enjoyable cars to drive Ive ever owned and the reason Im 80% into a 2J swap in a 1990 I picked up...

Building Brand New 2JZGTE Wiring Harnesses for the MK3 Supra

I just sent them an email on making up a 2JZ Proefi setup. Will see what they have to say.

    What is it?

It looks like a stock front with a hair lip. There's no way that car could be running a front bumper support either.

    suportability of a 2jz-gte vvti

As long as you have a standalone and a tuner that can tune for it, its really no different. I have cams in my vvti, its no big deal.

    What Grinds Your Gears?

What grinds my gears is when the people at Chipotle don't know how to wrap my burrito and I get 3 bites of just rice, 2 bites of just steak and a burrito heel full of cold cheese. White people have weak burrito game.

Stick with the 7mgte or swap for 1jz?

Not to knock you man but if you don't have the knowledge to do a head gasket how the hell are you going to pull of an engine swap? Motor swaps are not as cheap as people like to make out. Maintain your 7M and if you ever have an extra 12k sitting around then swap a 2J in that bitch.

    Tranny swap?

If you're going 154 you will also need an extended shifter housing and shift lever as well as a 1J bell housing and flywheel. What trans are you planning to use??? What are your power goals?

So who has solid mounted their subframes?

I will be doing this same thing in the next few weeks before I put the TRD diff in. The pics are much appreciated.

Whats the most number of hours you ever worked in a week?

When I was in the military we worked 7 straight 18 hour days doing flight operations in the bearing sea. I guess thats 126 hours.

Has anyone stroked their MKIII 2JZ swap?

If you want 800 there is no reason at all to build a stroker.

    Weight reduction

If you're swapping in a W58 over a 154 for weight you might as well pull out your GTE and replace it with a B series honda block while you're at it.

Why do most of the MKIII owners not buy hood struts?

Because mk3 owners are cheap motherfuckers and need every dime just to keep them running. Wasting time and money on frivolous hood struts is not going to happen when a set of vice grips do the job just fine.

    Weight reduction

What he said. They are solid metal frames and really do weigh quite a lot. I know I was shocked when I pulled them out. You can lose some weight tastefully doing things like others said with seats and move as much weight to the back as possible but if you really want light then start with a...
