^ +1 If you leave a tank of E85 in your car for 3+ months then you may have issues starting and running smoothly.
THat being said I have a friend with an EJ205 swapped wrx that let his car sit outside all winter with a 1/4 tank. He started it right up in the spring and went and topped it...
There is so much bad info in this thread.
There is some good info as well, if you plan on running E85 please do not use this thread as a reason to use it or not to use it.
Also comparing E85 to pump gas for price and mileage is pointless. You should be comparing it to C16 or other race...
There are a few mk3's in the local junkyard and everytime i go i spend twenty minutes or so pulling as many screws out of the interior as I can and just keep a big jar full of them.
It's nerve racking but you just have to tug it. Its sealed on with a gasket like foam trim that has some sticky stuff on it and after a few years they tend to set up pretty tough. I did this to both my cars not too long ago, the worst part is getting the interior trim panels off. Those two...
I'm running this same setup (2JZ, ls400 fan clutch, 7mgte fan) with a stock shroud and stock radiator. Are you still running a Koyo? I didn't think it would fit.
The maf housing is actually part of the stock airbox on the aristo. When I got my engine it came with the airbox and maf. I will look around for the airbox but I'm 99% sure I tossed it because there is no practical use for it here. I'll PM you about the MAF if you just want that.
It all depends on what your going to run for an EMS. To run the stock ECU, you will most likely need a MAF sensor. (someone smarter than me will need to answer if you can run speed density on stock ecu but I doubt it).
If you run ProEfi, AEM etc, then you can run speed density with a MAP...
I'd rather have Canadians than the asshole garbage people from Chicago that plug the interstates here every Fri and Sun heading to the Wisconsin Dells. However, I am happy they spend all their money here and that their wives and daughters are generally fairly slutty and easy to pick up while on...
If you want long term feedback, your oem ones that you're replacing have lasted 20-26 years. I'll replace mine with OEM and feel good about it for the next 20 years.
I know what you're saying, it's just hard to justify paying over 50% of the item cost in shipping. That is the bumper I like and if i still lived in cali I would drive out and get it myself for sure.
Shipping sucks.
It doesn't sound like a head gasket issue to me, sounds like you just have some air left in your system. When you bled the system did you get the front end of the car up in the air? EIther park on a really steep incline or put the front on jackstands when bleeding because on level ground the...
