^ Right?
I lived in New York at the time but was in Texas on a business trip (I'm old). The cocksucker that I was there installing software for decided not to mention anything about it for an hour even though he was watching it on his TV in his office and tried to get me to keep working. I...
You got a surprising amount of truth out of all that. I'm glad it was all of some help. As far as cats go, I have no idea because nobody I know on E85 has them and I dont want to speak without first hand experience.
Correct! Mine has:
One inlet from the rail
One inlet I plugged that would be from the second rail on a 2 rail motor
One outlet to the return line
One opening for the vacuum line
One opening for the adjustment bolt
One opening for Pressure gauge
I didnt claim it was higher at all. You clearly have some weird hang up against E85. I said on a boosted or high compression car that is properly tuned for it you can make more power safer on E85 than 93. Which is 100% true and fact. You can't argue that. ALthough there are idiots that...
Yeah I would agree with that. I know people pay out the hole for C's shifters.
But it would take a lot of upfront investment. People would want proven results and flow bench numbers and comparison tests, and that's not something some small guy with a welder is going to be able to provide...
I have a friend that owns a small machine shop and he did a ffim for me a couple of years ago. I considered having him make me a batch of flanges so I could weld them onto some cast runners, but the cost would be in the 6-700 dollar range and lets be honest, thats about 500 more than most MK3...
No, its just irrelevant. You're the leader of misinformation in this thread.
Like I said, in your moms impala E85 has no benefit, but in a properly tuned boosted or high compression motor its far superior at making power because you can run more timing and boost. Those are facts that are...
People who write on forums like they are speed texting their drug dealer. If you expect me to take the time out of my day to help you with your problem you sure better take the time to type the words out in your question completely.
The ignorance in the E85 thread.
Let me be more specific. E85 is superior to pump gas in performance turbo applications that are properly tuned for it. Your moms flex fuel impala will not benefit from E85. My mistake, I assumed we were talking about performance and not normal daily driven bullshit cars.
I'm not sure I inderstand your logic here. I do use E85 because it is superior to pump gas in performance and superior to race gas in cost.
Are you saying that you don't believe that E85 has a higher resistance to detonation than pump gas?
If it's that one, do yourself a favor and for about the same price get the kit from driftmotion. It's all brand name parts and I used it to rebuild mine and it was perfect.
I only care about the performace aspect, not the environmental impact or subsidies or anything else. THe energy densities are exactly what people have been saying, 30% less.
WHen they start using switch grass and waste greens and with general innovation this shit will get cheaper and easier...
I encourage all the haters and know nothings to avoid E85 forever and leave the rest for me. The less of a threat E85 is to big oil the less they will drive up prices by bidding on corn futures (like they already do) in order to make it less viable. There is plenty of suppport for it in this...
