With out a doubt im going to be re-routing the engine harness. I never wanna have to go through that again! I guess it was for the better anyway. Gave me a chance to get my engine harness out. Now i can get er' all cleaned up... One of my pet peeves is cluster fucked engine bays:aigo:
My car is an mz21 soarer... The engine bay is a little narrower than jza70. The 1jz never came stock in my car so i had a feeling the fitment would be a little off. I'd have to lift my engine out above the strut towers and then relocate my battery and fusebox for it to fit. I'm only looking for...
Intake didnt quite work out.. Bunch of extra work involved with fitment due to jdm chassis. Probably looking to sell that and throttle body soon. Thanks for help anyways
Is there some secret to get the damn thing off? I've got all the bolts, peripheral mounts, vacuum and coolant lines disconnected. The manifold is loose but i cant get it back quite far enough to clear the studs. Anyone who's got this thing off care to throw their $0.02 at this post?
Anyone else care to chime in?
Can i just loop the line on the idle up valve? This car will be a daily summer driver. I could always add a nipple into the intercooler piping and run the other line off the tee'd port if it's going to make a significant difference. I will be using an emanage...
I suppose it would help to mention that both my air conditioning and heat have been deleted. Heater core removed and lines re-routed.
Has i mentioned most of the manifolds i've seen only have the idle valve, brake booster, and the three other ports. So assuming that veilside, etc. knows there...
I knew the fittings on the bottom were for vacuum lines. I was leaning more towards which vacuum lines specifically. Sorry for any confusion. I'd like to know which lines im going to need to connect to those ports in order for the car to run properly. There is a cluster f&*K of vacuum lines on...
What gets plugged into the circled fittings? Wanna get it all figured out before i start ripping everything apart! In addition, some of the manifolds I've seen have a tab near the throttle body and some don't. Im assuming this tab is for the throttle cable?
Any help would be appreciated...
Getting all the plumbing figured out for my single swap... Is there a recommended AN size for coolant lines? Haven't been able to find a whole lot of info but the general consensus seems to be a 6AN line?
While taking the twins out this temp. sensor fell apart in my hand.. So i need to replace it! Anybody have a part number or know of another compatible sensor? Maybe a vendor can get a hold of one.. Or if someone out there has a spare by chance? From a jza70 if that makes any difference?
The...
Like i said, I had absolutely no idea this was even in the car.. I bought a front clip and had a shop transplant the engine into my car.. The clip was a jza70 auto daily driven car in japan.. Had 85,000kms on it and as far as i can tell the engine was stock. No boost controller, stock smic... One...
Just found a lil surprise in my car, a blitz access ecu. But, i've already picked up a emanage ultimate with all the fancy goodies to go with.. So i may be looking to sell the blitz ecu... So my question is, what's it worth?
Im thinking boost or speed cut? All the pictures i've found on that net have different markings.. This came wired into my EMU harness. I have since picked up a plug and play harness. So, im trying to figure out if i need to wire this into the plug and play or not?
Any body know the resistance range of the fuel level sending unit in an A70 supra? Im going with a digital fuel gauge in my car. So, i need to know resistance range to determine if gauge will be compatible.
I recently picked up a low mileage to4e. Seems to be in great shape(will have to bust out the caliper and check tolerance specs) I might rebuild it for piece of mind. Any vendors offer a rebuild kit? Any thoughts on those "top quality, made in USA" ebay kits?
I'll be going single soon and need to either make my own or order a prebuilt kit for my Garrett TO4E.. Anybody have any recommendations where to get the lines and fittings? What is more cost effective, kit or build my own? -10AN oil return and -4AN oil feed.. Not sure what size i need for the...
This is my first time taking twins off. I figure im going to end up getting impatient and wrecking at least one gasket. So rather then chancing it i'm just going to order new o.e.m........
Driftmotion is hooking me up.
