Interesting... I have a redtop in the garage that I've tried a few times to bring back to life and I haven't gotten it to hold a charge. My charger only goes to 6 amps though...
Yep, there's plenty of safety systems for remote starts.
The issue with not using a key at all is the column lock. You'd either have to leave it unlocked or figure out some way to trigger it remotely.
Could be more than one thing. Usually that sound is caused by a worn top mount (or loose nut). The rest wouldn't be caused by that though.
On the question of shocks, stay away from Gabriel or Monroes, they're junk. KYB, Tokico, and Bilstein were OEM suppliers for our cars.
You guys are gonna make me take a video of getting in the trunk of my mom's Miata aren't you? 99% of the time you use cars just to move yourself around, and maybe one other person.
But that does bring up another good point. Cheap, reliable, front engine, RWD.... TRUCK.
Maybe up there, but in the states, it's based off seating. It's why a supra is called a "2 door sedan" on my insurance.
This also applies to say an old CRX, which I think is funny...
Measure the size of the hole in the caliper itself, not the piston. Bet it's the same. Like I said, that area is smaller than the actual piston because of the dust boot and probably has a rebuild kit in it (looks cleaner to me). Look at the way the piston looks in this diagram to see what I...
Larger one might be because of a rebuild kit. That part is necked down for the seal, the actual piston size is larger than that (you'd have to disassemble them to know what I mean...)
They're electrolitic capacitors. They dry out and fail with age.
Anyone that's into electornics hates them, but they're a necessary evil because of thei high capacity for their size.
Going to run like crap that way. For starters, you feeding more fuel in all the time. You're also pulling a vacuum on the tank (which the vent in the gas cap will replace with air) leading to even more flow of gas vapors. Not even taking into account the lack of 2psi on the tank...
To do...
Getting parts for the 1G would be a serious pain. Can't even walk into a dealer and order the parts, you'd have to have someone from a country that natively got them to order the parts and ship them to you (if they're available at all).
No to Supra (old, money pit)
No to MK1 MR2 (same shit, different car)
No to MKII MR2 (you're not going to find one for that price that isn't a pile of shit)
No to 3000GT (it's old, complicated, and have as many issues as the Supras had if not more)
Not to mention the MR2's would be...
