i think what swaq is trying to do is great. whenever anybody takes the initiative to create more reference and help for the mk3 im always interested. sorry i cant be much help though, as i will be reading most of it:3d_frown: ....still a noob:(
why does this guy want to be a member of SF anyway? What does SF have that SM doesnt? the only diffference i noticed is that they have sections for all generations of the supra and SM is dedicated to the mk3, not a problem for me:biglaugh:
thanks, i completely forgot about that, well i dont have the funds for another tranny right now, so i guess, ill just have to see how it goes and be saving $$ during the process for the R154.
so is the spec clutch in the link provided a good choice then?
no problem man, i dont get offended by people on the internet anyway, its useless, all i meant was that that topic has been covered many times on this forum...but good luck:icon_bigg
so buy a jdm 2jz-ge, convert it to turbo and with no knowledge of what kind of shape the motor is in, use that as opposed to a balanced and blueprinted 7m?:3d_frown: im speechless....
you dont have to convince me, im currently doing a rebuild and i couldnt agree more, thats why im going with forged internals, but all i was saying is that if hes on a budget and only looking for 350hp then he shouldnt spend the extra money on forged pistons and rods.
would anyone recommend the SPEC brand clutch. im using the w58 on my 7mgte and this clutch says its rated @ 465ft/lbs of tq. can anyone verify that this is a good clutch or suggest a different one with similar numbers...
everything depends on what you expect and will expect out of your supra. if this is just a phase and not a car that you will keep forever, then i wouldnt put forged internals into it, but if this is gonna be a car that is part of the family, then you should treat it like family...lol
why not build the motor strong enough in case years down the road he does want to run 10s, then he wont have to spend the money on an internal rebuild, and he can just buy the turbo and ems to get him there. maybe forged internals is a bit overkill for 400whp, but its what im doing as well and...
well if your going with an upgraded turbo then you will need more fuel and when i get there, im going with the lexus afm, 550 cc inj, and walbro 255 combo, and also the aeromotive apfr. dont forget to get a different throttle body for that ffim, im not sure but i dont think that the stocker...
