Que? Lol honest mistake?
Ric you can argue about the "play on words" all day but the bottom line is you are now able to boost past 10-12psi boost cut while being on the stock system..... I took out 17% percent fuel at 4400rpm and my a/f ration is 11.4. Isn't the 25%(+/-) mark is the point...
I think you are missing the point of thread....... Tuning to the stock 440's with a SAFC to increase the boost cut limit.
Most people are fully aware of the Lex AFM and 550's but that’s not what’s being aimed at. The stock 440's have been proven to flow enough to support the mid...
I disagree ...... If it cuts the injectors then you would run leaner and that would defeats the purpose of it. Since "boost cut" is to keep your motor from detonating ie running too lean. Every time that I have hit boost cut or fuel cut I spat out a small cloud of black smoke meaning I went very...
Really they are the samething just people say boost cut or fuel.... what people call boost cut isn't really a "boost cut" its really spark cut. The ecu see's a danger area and pulls the timing which cuts your spark while the same amount of fuel that was/is being dumped at the time is still...
Edit: The 2nd most obvious part is eliminating many feet of piping which will eliminate all the unnecessary bends in the stock piping and you will gain efficiency and an increases throttle response…
So according to my book Performance for Dummies Version 1.2
If there is quicker...
I was wondering what would be the ideal throttle(TH Points) points to start tuning. I remember reading a thread where someone saying that was a good idea to tune from 75% throttle up.... I am asking because I don’t want it to run lean during the transition from cruising to WOT with boost.
I...
$5000 is more that enough 400rwhp is easily done on stock internals ..... Personally i would go lex AFM, 550 injectors, and SAFC. However the maft-pro is good setup. It took me 30mins to install my SAFC and Lex AFM setup and its very user friendly. I believe the maft-pro has a pre-programmed...
5 grand just to get her running????? HA thats stupid money unless you are rebuilding and going all out on parts
A head gasket job is around $1,000 but if you do it your self just a couple hundred the bottom half of the block should be just fine .... Take the head and get it checked out and...
I am with MK3Brent for the most part but I would try to get more out of them..... But if not just take the 5000 and buy another MKIII and swap the parts
The stock 440's can suport pretty good power .... 18psi is where they start to fall behind on the upgraded ct26's

u have to use the slave cylinder that matches the tranny ..... they are completely different in looks and the way they bolt to the tranny.
i used a w58 for about a year and half with 190,000+ miles on it and i put around about 30,000 miles on it with 10-14psi .... my clutch setup was a heavy...
Its all good man ...... we all learn some how. Some learn on the front end while others learn on the back end. I am no super mechanic but I am a very witty guy and I have done some things in the past that I look back on as pretty stupid and after 5 engine rebuilds 4 NA motors and 1 turbo all...
6hrs with two people is hella slow ...... I did mine in 2-3hrs solo using an air ratchet, 2 jacks, 14mm wrench, 4 (2 long, 1 short and 1 medium) extension, 10, 12, and 14mm
