Well this is the first of I hope many videos I am able to make of my car. Been a 4 year project and its finally coming together.
My friend and tuner Bill convinced me to take to the track after some low boost road tuning. So we hit the track on Friday night to have some fun.
All videos are...
I would not bother putting water/meth in pre turbo my self. For you Brad you are already using a massive amount of water/meth per tank of gas and that will just get worse or you will be carrying around 50lbs of water/meth in the back.
I would look at getting the larger nozzle we were talking...
Damn sounds fun, would love to line up against one of those. All I get when I have the Supra on the road is guys in there work trucks revving on me or Cobault SS's. In the G35 though I see all the cars I would love to run in the Supra :(
I have been able to get my breaks working great with out ABS. I removed it all about 3 years ago and the pedal feel is greatly improved. I also have AP racing breaks in the front and stock breaks in the back with Hawk HP+ Pads. I get very linear break feel and if I lock up both front and rear do...
I would take off the down pipe and see if there is oil in there. I would also pull off the turbo and look in the turbine housing and see if there is any oil leaking down into the manifold.
Then report back.
How did you make your timming map? You seem to be running a lot of timing in the top end and all over for that mater. Did you slowly add timing in small amounts till the power stopped increasing? I cant see how you would have been able to do that with the graph all over like that.
Nice job man, I think I'm going to tackle the bushing swap soon too. Not sure if I want to after all the troubles you had.
Nice wheels by the way, look like my old ones?
Jeremy
I agree, I have had both a 1jz big single and a 2jz with a comparable turbo. The bottom end off boost and low boost is night and day.
Load cell tuning a car is vital to get the best bottom end and low boost tune. The difference can be amazing, with safely load cell tuning the timing and fuel...
I'm going to try out.... http://www.labontemotorsports.com/store/ccp0-prodshow/VC-IFS-10.html
Its going to be hooked in to the ViPEC to cut boost when the flow drops, I am also going to have it drop timing as well as a warning light on the AIM dash, same for the low level warning.
I am debating even running a check valve in mine its going to be pre TB and the pump and tank are well below the nozzle height. The problem with the check valve is there restriction I think snow did a test and it was surprising.
I will have mine set up with a inline flow meter wired into the...
