I have heard about the CPS gear ring on the exhaust cam itself being misaligned from 2 people when they bought their cams new and they had to send them back to BC to get a new replacement cam. After they replaced it it ran fine.

The wiring for the cps and igniter are the same for all mk3 supra years. The only difference is the early Supras had green cps connectors and the igniter connectors were green as well but both will work with each other for all years.

Have you taken the spark plug out, try to crank it over and see if it sparks while you ground it against the cylinder head?

Was the Supra running good before your issue now? If not what work was recently done? Is your fuses under the hood good like the EFI fuse?

You will have to do more research but I thought there was a company that was redoing all the gears in the r154 an making them straight cut gears on the other forums. Maybe you may be able to find a reverse gear from them.
