Sorry for the late update, but I did get the problem solved. As Poodles said, the problem was likely improper assembly, and it was. The PO had not assembled everything back correctly, so we had to go back and disassemble, then reassemble everything back according to the TSRM. Transmission works...

What would be the ideal offset for 17x9 rims? Im looking at getting Enkei RPF1's or MB Competition's in 17x9 all around, but I am unsure what offset to get. Would a +27 offset work? I want something pretty flush with the fender, without requiring rolling or modification. My suspension setup is...

Awesome! Yea, this problem confused me as well. My dad had put in the CPS and when we cranked it, we weren't getting throttle response. We decided to recheck the CPS and make sure the timing marks were lining up at TDC. Put it back together, and it ran great. :D

Sounds like a problem I just had on my 7MGTE. It would cut out when given throttle, and sometimes would rev up. I thought it was the AFM at first as well, but after changing it, it still did the same thing. Ended up checking the timing and adjusting the CPS, and it worked. Check your timing.

I sprayed the inside of mine with purple power and let it sit for a couple minutes. Used a green "scratch pad" type of thing to scrub the outside. Looked fairly good.

What I did is go to the local parts store and buy one of those cupholders that youre supposed to "clip" onto the top of the door panel, except i hung it on the passengers side of the center console near their legs. The little tab is between the radio/shifter bezel and the edge of the console...
