Yea, its a bummer. I assumed the trans was assembled correctly by the previous owner (bought the car non running, but with a new clutch)... but it wasnt. So I had to tear it all apart again and reassemble it. Now its great, lol.
Kinda sounds like the same problem I had. Couldnt get it into gear while running, but could get it in when the car was off.
Here's my thread with the problem I had - http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?110758-Transmission-(R154)-Issue...

Thanks for the move Supracentral. Sorry if I put it in the wrong place, thought it was directed toward suspension.
Anyways, has anyone had an experience with any of these springs?
Alright, well Im looking for another set of lowering springs for my other Supra. Currently my N/A is on Eibachs with KYB GR-2's in the front, and Monroe SensaTracs in the rear. They're fine with me, I'm just opening up to trying something different. Im looking to purchase a set of springs for my...

When my slave cylinder went out, the clutch was real soft and wouldnt come back. Had to drive it home like that by tying a neck tie around the pedal and pulling it back up as I shifted, since it wouldnt come out of gear at times... Its prolly your clutch master or slave cylinder. I think its...
