1JZ burns oil after BC 264 install.

What do all 6 spark plugs look like? What does the inside of the downpipe look like? That may give you a clue as to the starting point of the oil burn.

    twin fuel rail 7mgte

We use a dual fuel rail and dual set of injectors on the Malta dragster as a staged set up. 861 cc on the primary rail and 1200c on the secondary rail. Not really needed for a street car.

1JZ burns oil after BC 264 install.

Neither of those two statements have anything to do with the possibility that something in a turbo let go. Everyone knows its a possibility no matter how young the rebuild is or who did the work. You need to rule that out with real evidence other than "that's not possible" Just trying to help.

1JZ burns oil after BC 264 install.

New cams with higher lift can cause the valves to ride on the seals in a place they never have before. This "can" cause old seals to leak. Not to say that is the problem, but it could be. You may also want to look at the turbo's.

Then I may clean the pool and go for a swim, grill some steaks and relax. Anyone else got big plans? My plans seam tame I guess, but after the year I have had with my...

Look what the Mac tool guy brought to me. Needed some new bling in the garage, and the old torque wrenches had a real hard time passing calibration.

    Rod Knock. With video.

As stated by others, you should take the crank to a qualified machinist for inspection.

    Rod Knock. With video.

I would re-do the entire bottom end. When you get a rod knock, you are sending metal particles into the oil that end up being embeded into all bearings. Re-polish/grind the crank, all new bearings, new seals, wash out the oil pan, wash out the oil pump or replace. I would do that at a minimum...

Rich's Garage. Other work being done

Back to posting some pics for the few who want to see them. Finally got some time to load some more pics to the bucket. Got all the plugs out and blew them out with air. Not much of anything in there anyway. All clean and ready to go. I always take a punch and re-set the pinch on the...
