no worries, I just changed lanes from the far right to the far left (right hand traffic) ;). with a proper suspension setup, there's no problem at all with high speed maneuvering in a Supra, it feels very safe. otherwise I wouldn't do such things since I'm rather a chicken than a daredevil...

is it from a pre-87 2-liter engine or from a 87+ 2.6 ?

interesting find! but: differences compared to what...? hasn't the electric antenna been standard anywhere in the world? apart from the fugly rear foglights (like we have in Germany too), headlight washers and electric antenna were standard on all german MKIIIs as well as on swiss MKIIIs...

I think drunc_medic is right, the "U" simply denotes differences in emission standards. AFAIK the "U" engines are/were usually sold in Japan.

3k?? mine shifts at 5k in "norm" mode and at 5.5k in "pwr" mode when I floor it :dunno: also, the "pwr" mode will make the tranny ECU shift more agressively. i.e. it will downshift when you just touch the gas pedal with your toe and will hesitate to upshift (depending on RPM) when you let off...

damn, I should've seen this thread earlier.... :( there are actually about 5-6 MKIIIs near Stuttgart that I know of, I myself am about 200km south of Stuttgart. next time you come over here we can do some 150+ mph runs on the autobahn with the Supra and kick the Benz's and BMW's asses :D j/k...
