hm, interesting thoughts....
here's another graph, this time with A/F included:
click me
A/F during boosting once was between 9.4 and 10.2 (far right of the graph), that's just the stock ECU richening the mixture... but then again, the post-turbo spikes even occur when the mixture was...
hi all,
as the title says, I've got a few questions regarding the cruise control lever on airbag wheels, since the airbag wheel apparently never made it to Europe at all.
the question is, can the lever be moved upwards as well as downwards? in what other directions can it be moved?
and could...
to be precise, I had a 3" turbo elbow and the stock downpipe with gutted precat before, boost was just below fuel cut.
after the DDP install, the boost went up by about 2-3 psi, so I adjusted my MBC to compensate for it.
I actually didn't expect the EGT to change at all... but I would have...
ahm, I guess you mean the post-turbos going high and the pre-turbos going low...?
yes, that's intriguing me too.. quite interesting how the turbo is heating up the exhaust gases after boosting hard. poor ol' little CT26.... and I didn't even hit fuel cut :D
also, post-turbo temperatures are...
hi all,
I got my new downpipe installed yesterday and had an additional EGT probe fitted in, so I can now monitor EGT in the exhaust manifold (runner of 6th cylinder) as well as EGT just behind the turbo outlet, along with wideband A/F, RPM, throttle position, ECU-Vf and boost.
to provide...
this goes for North America, but apparently not for all markets. the European VINs are quite different; I'd love to see how a VIN from an Australian or New Zealand model looks like. sorry for hijacking this thread :icon_roll
yea, shipping overseas would be very interesting. USPS is quite inexpensive, i.e. unless you are exceeding their max. package size. an online calculator can be found at http://ircalc.usps.gov .
I would take one or maybe two sets.
thanks for checking :)
the MR2's ECU is obviously using a boost sensor to determine the boost level (just like the ST165 celica for example), but in our cars, the boost sensor is only hooked to the boost gauge and not to the ECU. as you mentioned, our ECU is determining the amount of air by the karman-vortex frequency...
let's continue this in english - I think talking french on an english board is somewhat impolite (plus my french is quite rusty :p).....
thanks for the link, I was wondering for quite some time if there is some kind of an organized "supra scene" in France.
there are also quite a few Supra...
salut voisin :wavey:
mmhhhhh...... une supra noire, très jolie.
y a-t-il beaucoup de supras en France?
mais qu'est-ce que c'est au côté, entre les vitres...?
I hope it's not paint flaking off, but only a sticker or something? :)
same here..... simply because every alcoholic drink I ever took a sip of, tasted awful to me :barf:
plus I'm not the type of guy who does something (drink alcohol, take drugs etc) to be "cool" or just because others want him to :p
oh, back to topic.... I'm a boring 100% german.
there are speed limits, but they have to be displayed. i.e. unless there is a road sign saying "120kph max" e.g., there is no speed limit.
but due to the ever increasing number of cars in Germany, you actually have to be quite lucky to find a road section empty enough for save full throttle...
I happened to do a few full throttle runs a couple of weeks ago and logged RPM, EGT, boost and throttle.
here is the chart, this extract is about 88 seconds long. peak EGT was 760°C, A/Fs were between 9.8:1 and 10.4:1. can we say rich?
I buried the throttle for a full 30 seconds (gotta love...
a guy on another board recently had a similar problem. after he removed the charcoal canister, the engine would stall at times from running too rich. it turned out that he just bridged the two lines normally connected to the canister instead of venting the line coming from the tank :dunno:
don't be too sure about that.... it's actually a problem we are also facing in Germany. there are many immigrants from Turkey and from the middle east who are mostly working as cleaners or trash collectors and speak hardly a few words german. that doesn't exactly contribute to their popularity...
