Sorry if this is a stupid question.... an MBC works by basically constricting the diameter of the line going from the turbocharger to the wastegate actuator, right? The more constriction, the less pressure to the wastegate actuator, the more boost in the end.
So, to limit the maximum boost...

the German Unity Day isn't linked in the list above, so here's a link:

Yeah, happy 4th of July, guys :biglaugh:
1 hour from now here where I'm living. Looks like all the world is ahead of you, lol. The metric system rules.
Probably the same as the 7M-GTE, which I quoted above.
But apart from that, I don't think you'd ever get to register a MKIII with a 2JZ-GTE since that would require your car to pass inspection every two years. But as this configuration was never sold in Germany (as well as in the rest of the...
Oh yes, they do :(
You pay for each 100cc, how much it is depends on the "smog rating" (can you say that?) of the car.
This and the taxes on gas are the reasons why Germany is the country of the econoboxes :madfawk:
The 3 liter N/A Supra was a really slow seller compared to the turbo model...
quite possible, actually. since your engine has been swapped, it's probably something outside of the engine bay. my guess would be that the non-return valve in your fuel pump is shot... I'm having the same problem :dunno:
if you have the possibility to do so, try hooking up a fuel pressure...
I guess just pushing it to 100+mph for a short time and letting off again is not that critical, as IJ was referring to sustained high speed driving.
I often have the possibility to go 130+mph continously for several minutes when there isn't too much traffic and when I'm in the right mood...
if 200-250 kph is "high speed", then I'll have to ditch the idea of getting a one-piece driveshaft.
thanks for mentioning this issue, you probably saved me quite some hassle and money :bigthumb:
now who's gonna build us a two-piece lightweight driveshaft? :-p
I guess those resulting vibrations could adversely affect the durability of the drive shaft and the parts connected to it?
if this really is an issue, I'll have to re-think about getting a one-piece DS :(
BTW those mirrors are EUDM too :-p
+ earlier Mitsubishi Starion / Dodge Conquest turbo.
the later Starions were intercooled. those even had a "intercooled" badge on the trunk, so they were already rice from factory, lol.
