Fuel cut = check engine light? 1jz break up at 4500 rpm

How about this, have you re-wired your fuel pump? I dyno'd at 440whp 'maxing out' my Walbro and 550ccs on the stock wiring (My AFPR only goes to about 60-ish PSI max, that's probably about where it was set at). I rewired it with beefy wire and a new relay (relay is turned on by the stock fuel...

Fuel cut = check engine light? 1jz break up at 4500 rpm

Your fuel adjustment is way too high. I have to make negative adjustments at 18+ psi on a larger turbo with a Walbro 255 and 550ccs at 36-ish base pressure. I believe you need to check your base fuel pressure, do you have an adjustable regulator? You have some kind of fuel issue. What are your...

Car running super rich NEED HELP

Watch your AFRs under boost after lowering the fuel pressure to idle better. I run stock base fuel pressure with a similar setup, pulling -% with the SAFC in low throttle under 3000-3500rpms to improve idle and cruising AFRs. I try to keep the WOT high-RPM adjustments as near 0% as possible...

Hey dude guy, it's me, sarcasm. Just wanted you to recognize me for once.

1JZ Trying for 600hp on pump

Probably smells like moonshine :) As was pretty much said earlier in the thread, I think the 2J just has been pushed and prodded much more over the years and the 1J modding has been on the back burner compared to the high dollar, high competition 2JZ-GTE scene. Now it seems over the last few...

intercooler and radiator..which one to get

Agree with PWR and so do many many top level road race teams. If you change your mind and want something cheaper that you will probably have to modify to fit, my Mishimoto has worked out pretty well for me. It's a good setup for the price, and it's huge. I've changed the rad cap (it failed) on...

    good old 50cent map clamp

I read a long time ago before I put my home-made setup together that the Greddy BCC uses a clamping voltage (good), but others (possibly HKS FCD or other cheaper ones?) may actually scale voltage therefore changing the MAP output through the whole range(bad). I had a Zener diode setup on my...

    Front mounter intercooler sizes

You don't need to remove the bumper. You're going to place it between the radiator support and the bumper support. You will probably slide it up in there from underneath the car. The hood latch support with the horn on it will probably be in the way from above. There is a lot of room in there.

    14point7 UAFC?

Please tell us your experiences with this unit, I would love to play with something MAP-signal based and higher resolution for my 1J! Tell us how it's working for you! I use a laptop all the time anyway for data-logging, this would be great.

    Exhaust suggestions

Did you actually drive it with open downpipe or just listen to it idle? I guarantee it is going to be fucking stupid loud while driving. No one will want to ride in or near your car for any length of time, especially not women.

    Wheel decision... Please help!

962s definitely. They look just like a older name-brand wheel that looks really great on cars like the MKIII but with a big lip. I can't remember the name of them. Fitment/offset is way better for a MKIII also. The 521s are gonna have some poke at that size.

    aftermarket radiator

You can be sure PWR is a high quality radiator. Every single Porsche I saw and some other types of cars were running PWR radiators at the Rolex 24 hour endurance race this year. It's also so far the only one around that you really don't see anyone complaining about. (this thread for example)...

You know you're a Supra owner when...

That's a good one. Some 1J/2J guys are the only ones who get this, even other "Toyota people" ask all the time why you still have the clutch fan and how it robs sooo much horsepower blah blah. They just don't know the cool running truth! If I could fit the clutch fan in mine, I would run one...

You know you're a Supra owner when...

After you think you have the cooling system sorted out and you start to relax on watching the temp gauge, your Supra will strike you down. My radiator cap and then my thermostatic fan controller have failed in the last two weeks, bringing 3/4+-gauge-Oh-Sh!t-get-off-the-road-shut-it-off-moments...

Another whats this wire go to thread.

I want to know where the connector and wire (harness side, not O2 side) physically goes into the harness. Basically where the wire comes from to connect to the wire coming off of the O2 sensor wire/connector. I cannot find mine and I have quite a few loose connectors hanging around. So the...

Another whats this wire go to thread.

Well now that somebody else helped you, maybe now you or someone else can help me. The primary O2 sensor goes to a grey connector IIRC. Where does that connector lead to?
