Or maybe it's because they didn't want a motor where you have to take the crank pulley, accessories and timing belt off, take the cams and valvetrain assembly out of the head, take the head off and get it decked, buy a new upgraded/aftermarket headgasket, and reinstall head with ARP hardware to...
The vid you posted looks like an electrical issue for sure. Tach cuts and motor cuts at same time, that particular part of your problem should have nothing to do with fuel/spark. Have you tried swapping ECUs? Sounds like it could be a wiring/ECU problem with the swap. Don't know why the tach...
Battery light will come on while it's running before it dies if the alternator is bad. If you have a good battery (it turns over strongly), the alternator isn't your no start issue.
I was just floating around the forum and ran into this. They must get this stuff from a jackass script or something somewhere on the internet, because basically the exact same thing happened to me.
A green V8 Ford Explorer packed full of dudes that were about my age (probably 20ish at the time)...
I have a 160k mi. MK3, just was under the car checking the rear because I have a serious grinding/vibration over 90mph, both rear wheels have movement inward and outward at the bottoms (camber) that I attributed to the spherical bearings at the time. They will "clunk" inward and outward at least...
I would just extend them while you are in there and do everything right. Previous owner of my car cut a new hole in the firewall where you are describing and ran the harness behind the dash in what seems like the shortest way possible, the ECU hardly sits in the glove box at all, I definitely...
I want one of these pretty bad, too bad they only make them in the shift pattern for Tundras and FJ Cruisers.
Probably going to grab a Hurst 5-speed knob for a 05+ Mustang (I think that will fit? Don't buy one yourself without research), I just wish it had the cool TRD stuff on it!
Roush...
Dude's got a point.
te may have an idea with some sort of drivetrain/slack issue if it's a "mechanical" bucking and not the engine. If the engine is surging, maybe you have a TPS issue? No idea why it would be only after full throttle though.
Do you have a list of things you've checked/tried?
You will be fine in the PCV department (as far as pushing oil out of the valve covers) as long as the covers are venting properly (Vents out of the valve covers aren't clogged/blocked) unless you have something seriously wrong with your motor. Only tips I can give you are to use a lot of Toyota...
I have a Shaftmasters 1 piece also, I spoke with them about what I wanted and sent them some info about my car and the driveshaft rotation speeds the car could possibly see as I thought they would need to make a 'custom' 3.5" shaft (or get my slipped 2-piece fixed by a high-quality shop near me...
I'm with him, time to get a relay and activate it off of your stock ignition-solenoid power wire, because that's all it's good for at this point. I tried everything from cleaning the ignition switch and starter relay contacts to putting a new starter in the car, nothing fixed it for me until I...
I wish I would've known about your steering bushings before I replaced them with OEM. I might have to get some steering and subframe sets of bushings from you in the future just as back-up sets! Good looking products.
It's probably stuck shut or is shutting when it starts running? It will run fine when open, it's like having a big open vacuum leak. Vacuum leaks will make you idle higher, not kill the motor unless POSSIBLY if you are running super lean already? (not sure on that one, never tried it)
I say...
Have you re-wired you fuel pump with fresh beefy wire from your battery?
This sort of happened to me, fuel pump just couldn't get the juice it needed through the stock wiring.
Me and another 1J owner are running 500-ish whp with a high pressure 255, your setup shouldn't be an issue if the pump...
You are trying to run the JDM ECU or the USDM one? I hope for your happiness that it's a JDM. This is extremely easy with a JDM MKIV TT Manual ECU if it was already running off the Aristo ECU.
You might have already answered this question with your OBDII comment, excuse my ignorance.
