Damn, 421 at 14psi on that turbo? Nice setup. I see you are in FL also.
If you aren't really looking for much more power personally I'd stick with the 1JZ and freshen it up like jz240kouki said above me. It sounds like you have a strong running motor already. It seems like a full build is...
Sounds like you understand what you are getting yourself into. They are going to stick out of the fenders pretty severely and the tires are too small for the wheels.
Recommendations: Get some wheels that will actually fit the car and then some tires that are big enough for the wheels.
I've always been under the impression that a properly made open dump will always be a bit stronger than directing it into the exhaust. It just kind of makes logical sense when thinking about the exhaust.
Make sure you are dumping it away from things that dont like fire.
The 6800rpm rev limit really bugs me with a larger single turbo, and even more so when I think of the headwork in the cars future. It's a given that I will be getting rid of my current 2J ecu just because of the rev limit alone, if nothing else. I have no idea as of now what I will replace it...
You need an RPM window switch, which will only allow your solenoids to open in a set RPM range. Look it up.
On your car and with your needs I would run at least an RPM window switch and a wide open throttle (WOT) switch. The WOT switch generally comes in two flavors, a mechanical switch on...
Ya, I thought that too when I read 114mph. I guess it's normal or something to run 13's @ 114mph in a Supra, nobody else said anything about it :biglaugh:
Sounds like OP needs the traction mod more than anything else.
Good luck with the new turbo though!
You could probably polish it back to new without a whole lot of effort, if you wanted to of course.
I would be interested in something like this for the 1JZ also, anyone know of anything?
