I didn't even know my engine light was not working until I decided to check if I had any codes when it didn't start. Just something else to worry about. :3d_frown:
I've tried the jiggle method. Still didn't work. But it could be related since I did remove the CPS last week and the wiring is very hard and brittle. But I got spark on the #1 plug. Should I check the rest?
Well i've been trying to trouble shoot my Supra starting issue and thougt I would post on here for some help.
Here is the situation...
I got back from a week vacation and decided to take the Supra out for a spin and it started fine. Drove it to the store and no sign of any issues. I...
I'm definately interested in this. Hopefully I can stay patient and wait on this. Don't know how long I can stay with the busted 4" stockers. Can only listen to Sports radio on AM right now.
Finally decided to try the jack trick on my sagging door on my Supra. I had to do it a couple times, because I wasn't pushing it high enough.
I basically put the jack under the door to support it. Loosend the bolts on the door hinges a jacked it up pretty high. Then tightened it and took...
When I replaced my injector seals I noticed how bad my intake was. I cleaned up the throttle body and the opening to the intake. But thats all I could get to.
I need to take it off and clean it all up, but at the moment that was not the goal and I just wanted to get it running. Everytime...
I will probably see If I can get an extra one and rebuild that one, if its leaking as well. Hopefully I can find one for cheap. I wouldn't want to screw up my only one.
Looks like I can get a new Toyota one for about $400! Ouch!!!
I saw the same episode and notice that all of the shows on TV are raving about them. Maybe its just Spike or Speed trying to make money and shoving it down our faces. But they had facts and dyno results.
Still don't think I would buy anything other NGK until I saw it proven and tested on...
I probably already know the answer from searching around the forums. But I just had to vent a little I guess.
I have been trying to chase down all the leaks in my Supra. It has leaked every type of fluid their is. First injector seals were bad, then cam cover gaskets leaked oil, then...
I'm hoping that it will get easier with practice and a cleaner engine! One of the reasons I hate oil leaks and try to fix them ASAP.
I remember my 85 300zx Turbo being even more a PITA. You would have to twist your arm 3 different ways just to get to it. Once it got loose and started...
I've only done it once on my 7mgte and it was a PITA as well. Took me forever to figure out how to get it loose. Once I figured that out, I was already full of oil and I tried to pull it down only to find that it wouldn't drop straight down. I had to toss it over the motor mount and of course...
Definately lefty loosy. Maybe if you are in the UK its the opposite!
Once you get it unscrewed you will have to pull it up and out. Be carefull not to strip when you put it back on.
Thats funny. I don't have my Napa Stores near me. They usually never have the part I need in stock and they take forever to get it.
Oreilly's website will show which store has it in stock. Which is pretty nice. I've learned to check online first, check availability, get part #, see...
This thread is LOL. Its a given that Autozone sucks. Thats whey they have nice websites, so you can find parts online and say. Give me this!! I know you have it!! I fight myself from taking the keyboard away from them quite often.
I don't doubt that you can go 8,000 miles between oil changes. But if I were to buy a used car. (A Supra at that) Wouldn't changing the oil be one of the first things you do. Atleast I would. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. But I would like a fresh start and know when my maintenance...
