Make sure the spacers are on right. And don't overtighten them. You may have pushed them in to far. Just take them off again and redo it. You will probably see your mistake.
last one sounds like an exhaust leak. I recently fixed this on my 7mgte and it was the connection between the turbo and the exhaust pipe was loose. For you it would be the connection between manifold and exhaust pipe.
I don't think that $250 even includes the clutch assembly!!
Well the spray pattern lines up directly behind the pulley. I don't see anything on the lines.
How do you check the pressure line. I'm guessing you do that after you have taken any r12 left in the system out? Forgive me for being a little slow when it comes to AC.
I may be needing that compressor from you. Thanks for the offer. Looks like I can get one from Toyota for a little...
One thing after another on my supra! :3d_frown: Got to love it!
I recently had a friend install a new receiver dryer and a couple cans of R12 and it worked great. But yesterday when I drove my car around a little I noticed that my compressor was leaking oil out the front. It sprayed the...
I was able to get to the firewall side pretty easy. The one closer to the block was a little tough because the oil line gets in the way. And I couldn't find my swivel. But is it something that just needs to be tightened down or is it something that needs to be replaced?
First thing I checked was loose oil pan bolts. They were all snug. My Z had that same problem!
I've replaced the valve cover gaskets and hardware. Fixed that oil leak a while back! I'm pretty sure its the turbo lines. Its leaking down the lines and then onto the oil filter and then to...
I've been trying to get all the leaks fixed on my 88 Supra. Recently fixed Cam Seal oil leak. Looks like the O-Ring has fixed the CPS Oil Leak. Today I was able to fix my exhaust leak. All 3 bolts on the turbo elbow were loose and a bitch to tighten. One of the nuts was fused to the stud...
I got the pins installed in the center hole and put some washers on to protect it from sliding out and got everything back together. Shes running fine again! woohoo!! I still got to double check timing.
They were both on the left hole. I marked them before I took them off. I got my pins today and should have it back installed soon. I guess I will just use a regular flat fender washer to hold the pin in. Hopefully she will be running again shortly.
Oh crap! You are right. I see it now in the TSRM. I'm missing the washer! It was not there when I took it off.
So even though it was in the left I should put it in the center.
I should be getting the Cam Gear pin today and am still wondering if I should put it back into the left hole that it was in originally or should I put it in the center hole. Seems like everyone says it should go in the middle but the TSRM says to install it in the same hole it was in. What...
Even if the part numbers have changed, they can figure out the new one. But I don't see this part ever existing in our system. Definately only available overseas.
Damn. I tried putting a magnet down there but I didn't get anything. Can you loosen the lower timing belt cover without taking off the crankshaft pulley? Maybe I can get it from below.
I also have a question about the location of the pin. I put the pin in the left hole because thats...
I took the timing cover off today and sure enough the intake cam gear pin was missing. It must have backed out and fell off. Should I be worried about where it went? I've tried cranking it quite a bit!! :aigo:
Is this a dealer only type option. I can order one from work, but would really...
I checked all the grounds today and they all seemed fine. Decided to recheck fuses with volt meter and it turned out that my EFI Fuse had blown even though it didn't look like it. Now i'm getting power to +b port on diagnostic block and i'm getting fuel and spark now. But still now start...
I had a feeling the check engine light wasn't working. But I was in denial. My car runs perfect!! lol.
I will definately check the grounds. I did jump +b and fp inititially and it worked. I checked again later after I checked for spark and it didn't work. I may have broken the +b plug...
