I tried to figure it out before asking but after a few hours I cant. This started after a WOT run through 1st and 2nd, when i let off the car wouldn't idle below 2000rpm. Throttle linkage is not binding, there are no vacuum leaks but I do have a code 51. I tried adjusting the TPS, however I just...
There's no way it would take 4 even unless you ran into severe difficulties. Trickiest parts for me are prying the axle shafts off the diff and probably holding the diff up as you loosen the last couple of mounting bolts (which you really need two people for) because it weighs 80ish lbs...
I have a lot to say about this actually. I had a terrible experience with an "independent audio shop." They did a f*cking hack job on the wiring for my alarm and the LED would stop working all the time. A lot of those guys at independent shops dont know jack. Even if you have a problem with work...
I dont have to pass any inspections here in Ohio but I was wondering if this will sort itself out by blowing out of the exhaust. It's probably wishful thinking.
Well the only sucky thing about that is it's all welded with no flanges. I bought the car recently off a friend in CA but im in Ohio at the moment so taking it back isn't an option (which sucks because the shop gave a 1 yr warranty). I may just take the exhaust of my 88 and put it on this one...
Hey guys,
A couple of days ago I started hearing rattling in my exhaust. I figured it was the cat and I finally got under the car today and found out the internals of it are "broken" and loose inside it, rattling around every time i push the gas pedal. This cat is about 6 months old btw and...
Any diff would work but having an lsd would be nice. Some na's came with lsd's and some didnt iirc. Keep in mind that anything from an NA should be a 4.10 or 4.30 which i dont like personally because the cruising revs are that much higher at any given point compared to turbo rear ends (3.73 and...
Yea I think you can do it yourself with basic tools, its not hard. If you just plain dont want to mess with it, thats another matter. I think the job requires more strength/force than it is actually difficult.
That does sound like the diff is going out *I think* but its hard to tell. Even if it is, they're not that hard to change out. A friend with a shop and lift would help though :)
