yeah, i have not been driving it. im going to keep it in the same condition as right after it happened. if they want to do oil analysis to prove that it blew when i say it did then im fine with that. plus, i still may be rebuilding this actual motor so i want to keep the damage to a minimum.
im...
thats the same that i think. ive been using these things for years, and never a problem. imho its still one of the best filters out there, and i will be using one when i get my motor fixed again.
our shop is one of the largest buyers of purolator brand stuff. we use three different lines of filters from them, and its Sears we are talking about here.
ive got pics, lots of pics... :)
also, fwiw, i contacted them today and they are overnighting me a "recovery package" to ship them my bad...
wow, sounds promising.
funny thing is that i bought that filter at my work. Sears auto center. i have never had a problem with any purolator filter in my life, and most mechanics i work with along with anybody i know actually reccommends that filter over all others. i will still continue to...
nay on the pump shim. when i rebuilt, i used a known good used pump. disassembled and checked everything.
oil press ive never personally seen over 30 psi.

here ya go, only a few things i would change...

funny thing is that you left your supra for a grand am, but i left my turbo grand am for a turbo supra about a year ago

when first starting off, i really need to know what a "wiggle" is. is it shaking side to side? just a...
the best way is to cap off the pipe that goes to the throttle body, and cap off the turbo inlet. find a way to get an air fitting on one of the caps and pressurize it to about 20psi. there should be no leaks at all. doing it this way makes it pretty easy to find where the leak is. if this test...
uh... no. drilled or slotted rotors can not be cut on a brake lathe. it will break the carbide bits used to cut.
i tried that once and had to replace some expensive parts at my work.
