I tried an S3 on my friend's car and I quite liked it. The throws were relatively short and quite smooth. I would get one if I had the money (stupid flight school being all expensive, won't let me buy Supra parts lol).
I've wanted a C's Short Shifter. I've tried the Nashman V2, and the throws are ridiculously short yet a bit too stiff for my liking. I like the S3 cause the shifts seem to be pretty much smooth as stock yet significantly shorter.
Well the Apexi monitoring device is a tuning device used to adjust how much fuel is going into your engine. Go to Google and search up "Apexi SAFC 2." There should be information about it and it'll give you a much better explanation than I ever can about what it does and how it does it. It's a...
I am running the exact springs you have and I clear speed bumps and mostly everything else with ease. I never once scrape on bumps in the road. Could be your struts too. I have Tokico Blue's in the back and stock replacements in the front.
Shitty man. Sorry to hear that, stories like this are the sole reason why I'd rather keep a slightly cluttered engine bay with a working ABS system (as old as it may be). If the car is totaled, just get another shell, buy your car back, and swap everything over. Who knows? This could be a...
Until last year, my car had its original clutch master cylinder. I replaced it with another OEM Asin clutch master. Just goes to show the durability of OEM parts. Always go OEM on crucial hydraulic parts like Clutch cylinders, etc.
I switched from a W58 to a R154 and yes the shifting does feel a bit more "solid" I think would be a good way to put it. My 1J/R154 set had around 100K KMs on it so the tranny was in relatively good condition. Try and get a short shifter of somekind (aka C's, S3, Nashman) and it'll be amazing...
2) Fitting the V160 in the MK3 is possible yet requires significant modification to the trans tunnel as well as trying to find a significantly lower rear end gearset as the pre-89 Turbo LSD generally comes with the 3.91 gears in the rear. To make 1st and 2nd functional on the V160 in the MK3 you...
Definitely. Go to your local tuning shop and ask them what they are comfortable with tuning and installing. This way, your tuner will know how to tune your engine to the best of his ability as he will know the system which is controlling your engine. That would be the only safe and secure way of...
What I did when I had to replace the original windshield on my Supra was I went to my local Toyota dealership and asked them where they send their cars for windshield replacements and I went to that palce which the dealership said (Broco Autoglass in my case). Try that, usually they will do a...
I haven't gone over to Redline MT-90 yet but from what I hear from others it's nothing short of amazing. I always heel-toe rev match to save my tranny, cause I don't want to pay money to get a tranny refresh anytime soon lol.
Don't forget to ask when the clutch was last done. As well as the clutch master and slave cylinders. Also, when were the brake pads and rotors last done?
