i have the Apexi AVCR. its pretty good, though its in BAR only (atleast mine wont display PSI), but other than that, its very repsonsive in its display out. . top unit is the avcr, bottom is safc
the turbo and non turbo have different clusters. the non turbo has a volt gauge where the boost would be on the turbo. as for why its working and not, i have had the same problem and never did figure it out. it started working again and hasnt stoped again.
some one else can add and correct
for wideband it comes down to personal taste, but innovative, Zeitronix, and AEM are good ones. you will find that a gauge with a digital readout to be more benificial than just a needle sweep or light show gauge. expect to pay roughly around 200 for a new...
i believe i found the pump assembly
by the looks of it the pump is sealed (or snaped in) the housing and not replaceable without breaking something. have had similar experiance with newer vehicals aswell. only 1 hose port, so sadly i think your screwed and a new or used oem is only way...
yes, with it off, you have no AFM signal, so just wire to ecu like normal. also once wired in, make sure its set to karmen in the sensor select, or you car wont start.
its not something you can turn on and off like lights.
no i didn't. mine are hardwired, but with the SAFC/AVCR/ and a VPC, i got a crapload aswell. my bad on that. though with the HKS harness with my old fcon (no longer own), i just pulled more of the wireing harness into the engine bay, which alowed it to clear better.
i highly doubt it will work, as hondas dont use the karmen air sensor the supra uses.
the safc is a universal air fuel controller.
this is mostly for the vtec, which makes it the equivalent (kindof) to a boost controller (like the AVCR) for honda's
it is assigned a VIN by the province its registered in, but check with you local insurance company about the legality of importing. i think the 25 year or older law still applies, as it doesnt have the NA saftey sticker applied by the manufacturer.
http://josh.leckner.us/vpc_safc_wiring.jpg and this for the 87 ecu pinout http://www.turboninjas.com/supra/maft/8%20-%20Vehicle%20Specific%20Info/MK3%20Supra/1987-1988/87-88%20ECU%20Pinout.jpg
just ignore the wires for the vpc, as for the pressue sensor, i added mine by the vac t by the...
