Put theassembly back together and grab the wheel at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock and pull moving slightly back and forth (not to much). Be careful it'll come off all at once and it's easy to hit yourself in the face with it.

I replaced the part of the speedo cable that goes into the trans (same gear, same type cable) and now my speedo works but instead of starting at 0mph it's way below the 0 at the bottom of the dial. Any ideas? thanks man
