The reason I'd use the AUX function to pull fuel is because if the meth pressure isn't there, the auf won't be tripped and you will run rich and pull timing. (read Failsafe)

Best thing is to remove both sections and see which one is broke. Normally it is the upper section which runs next to the downpipe. I'm just curious, did you purchase you supra in a dismantled state?
