Greg, to follow up on your detonation definition, It is safe to say that if a nice JE is textured more like sandpaper and a little white in color rather than it's pretty polished appearance that it has gone through the softening phase in that region of the crown, and it is now dead. correct?

Depends on the engine stand, My latest stand has 3/4" thick arms with 3/4" flanges on the end, to the stand eats 1.5" of the bellhousing bolts which leaves less than .5" to thread into the block...

You can push it as far as your abilities to tune. I have never heard of high power devastating a stock 7m, just poor tune.

ok... What this tells me is that your ignition switch is broken, or not getting power at all. If other things work, starter, etc... It would seem that either the switch is bad, or wire connector B1 is not making good contact.

I've used the RPS segmented flywheel. It is a great product and you can have the friction plates replaced, which is not an option for the fidanza. Fidanza makes a decent product, but they had trouble getting the bolt pattern right for a while...
