i.e.
1. Denial - "No way...that didn't just happen". (Twilight Zone circle spins as you fall in to the abyss).
2. Bargaining - "Maybe I can pull it back with vacuum or magnet or..."
3. Anger - "Motherf*%#er!!! I hate you!!! I'm having this bastard crushed into a cube".
4.Depression -...
Anybody tried EBC? They make red and green, cant remember the difference between the two. I've heard good things about them.
Personally I want the Wilwood kit.
I'd bite the bullet and get a new harness.
I know it's expensive, but so are fires and shorted out electrical components, and that's before you factor in the tedious work of troubleshooting an old wiring harness. I think you're asking for a heartache.
Cost me 6 bucks for the bushings and pins (one door). Just pressed the old ones out and pressed the new ones in (4 per door). Good as new.
I decided to do it this way because after I removed and examinded the hinge the only wear was in the bushings themselves, which had been worn to an oval...
Ahhh yes...the old rope trick.
That's exactly why it's safer, i.e. If you fill the cylinder up with soft rope there is nowhere for the valve to fall.
The air method makes me nervous too (air...you can't see it:sarcasm:).
I'm pretty sure your abilities and access to info as well as proper equipment are not representitive of the average crescent wrench wielding "I better check with my mechanic" tinkerer on this site...
If you get much past 10psi and experience any detonation with a composite head...
I know you said this is not another BHG thread, but I don't think you've proven that yet.
Do a NAPA block (sniffer) test. It costs $50 for the kit, takes 30 seconds, and is so simple to perform that a monkey could do it.
My money is on a BHG.
It's going to fade big time.
My brother used the dupli-color on on the interior of an old truck he had and within a month it was fading like a fat lady in the sun .
Pulling the fender is probably faster and certainly less frustrating.
I did my drivers side door not to long ago, but I just pressed in new bushings and replaced the pins (saved a couple hundred bucks in the process).
I took pictures, and was gonna do a write up on it, but decided it was...
Yeah that doesn't matter...same deal, but you should drain the gas tank, as the gas will be stale. Check fuel lines, rail, injectors etc. for any sludge. Old gas can turn into gooey slime, clogging injectors or any other narrow fuel passage, plus you dont want to start it up with nasty stale fuel.
That was very observant...good job poodles!
(Loud Buzzer Sound) WRONG.
Serously, boosting has nothing to do with it. It wouldn't matter if your engine was an n/a.
If you seal up the crankcase, the pressure generated in there has nowhere to go, so it just builds up until it exceeds the...
I just did an HKS stopper on my motor, and agonized over the deck and head contact surfaces.
Is yours finished to a high enough ra?
I know you took it to the machine shop, but not all machinists understand that both deck and head have to look like a mirror. Seriously.
I ended up...
