Wax is old/low tech, wears off, and doesn't protect your paint or provide the best shine. What you want is paint sealant. This is what I use, check this out: http://www.ppstechnology.com/homepage.html Try this stuff and you won't be sorry.

Are you doing it by hand or with pneumatic sander maybe....I'd be to afraid of messing it up with anything but by hand, although I've seen some guys that were pretty damn good with a sander. What are you using as a sanding block? (As I recall you have access to some pretty good machinery.)...
