Greg (or anyone else that has done this) is there a reason you went with a braided line on the pump output vs having a hardline made up using a threaded pipe fitting? I have some concerns over the hardening of the rubber over time being submerged in oil (both in and out) and cracking, leaking...
true- this is why i prefer amps with an actual 'birth certificate'. I don't have the means to build a test bench (nor the desire) - so by sticking to an amp with a tested output (with the testing constraints listed) from the factory is ok with me.
I should note that when I installed mine (4...
I have a 100w/ch going to to my CDT's - which IMO is just right for the set that I have. If you have their kevlar coned euro set (for instance) you might consider more than 100w/ch
Got mine yesterday - great looking piece. One quick question - what type of double sided tape is best for attaching the brackets - or is there another way (than tape)?
Thanks-
Fitting 6.5 in the door is not that hard, and since you are going to an external amp for power, (while other may disagree) I see it as the only way to go.
here is a write up on 6.5s in the door:

Rings are just a variety of size - they are not wheel specific. IIRC, our hubs are 60.5mm od (first measurement of the ring) then you need the hub bore size of the wheel (they are all different, but usually ~77mm from my experience). The easiest place that I have gotten them is from America's...

its too bad no body has ever heard of Probe(Industries). maybe some of you should read a little before bad mouthing their products. Had I known they made pistons (earlier) I would have bought a set. Still thinking about having them make some custom wrist pins...

pin-ups rock. classic pin-ups (more like this http://www.cafepress.com/hotroddolls.80976691) or modern stick figure girls with plastic boobs? (hotrod chicks with tattoos and jap sports cars...interesting combo...)
its not about being pissy, its the mis-contextualizing of info that seems to be running rampent on these forums (making it appear like the other forums) that drives me up the wall (as well as many others that have just left). :runaway:
but on a side note, thanks :drink1:
I don't mean to come off as a dick, but spend a little time looking at internal pics of a muffler. all company websites will have internal diagrams. Usually the cat (regardless of who makes it) will be the most restrictive part of the whole exhaust. any non-chamber muffler will be fine. The...
When it comes to cats, the price you pay is in the material. a $50 cat may work for the first 6 months, but then will light off less and less, then you will fail smog. going from a stock cat to a aftermarket cat might net you 1.7896423 horsepower, but when you have to replace it every other...
Yes, between the cat and the muffler. I have this one welded into my 3" borla set-up. It uses a perferated tube like a motorcycle silencer (no louvers protruding into the exhaust stream). This length fits perfect w/p losing too much ground clearance. Add to that they are cheap. 6cyls w/o...
