I believe 10.99 or 135mph is 8 or 10PT cage. I think you also need a transmission blanked or clutch scatter shield below 10.99 also. Driveshaft loop, battery switch, It's crazy. Technology has come so far then need to loosen these Regs. People have dailys in the 9's now. It's like you can't even...
Absolutely will. I have same concerns for the track. NHRA says faster then 11.50 requires a rollbar 5PT. Then faster then 10.99 needs an 8PT cage. Im not doing either. So its going to be tricky to get in and not get thrown out.
Im hoping to get to the track by the end of the year. Hoping to pinch off a 9.999999. Car hauls and at 23psi i was beating guys that have run 10.50's on the street. So with 25-30psi, i think itll be enough unless it breaks.
At 15PSI i made a run on a prepped street from 0-112 in 9.8 seconds. So...
Haha thanks man.
The Precision 1200cc injectors were running up into the 90's for duty cycle in the mid 20psi range and since i am planning on turning it up, i figured i needed something bigger.
Stepped it up to FIC 2150's!
Problem i ran into, as you can see, is the injectors are slightly...
Ethanol isn't corrosive. It absorbs water, and this water is what can cause issues. If you drive the car regularly at all, you'll have no issue. It's when the same fuel sits in the tank for months absorbing more and more moisture that causes the problems.
Been on e85 for a while now with the...
Damn. No idea how you did that on street tires on the street at that power level. I'm at more power on a sticky set of drag radials (actually now on bias ply ET Streets) and I launch my car about 5 times per ride, per day, and mines still together. Good job! Haha
Been working on alot of motor stuff lately. Most of thats finished up so i finished a project i started YEARS ago. I think it came out pretty good! Sits flush with the top of the car, Made from 4130 1" x .083" and 1/2" X .0625 tubing. Very Rigid and roughly half the weight (if not less) then the...
Need to be pretty light weight, and i dont mean like weight of the strut, i mean like the light holding power. It would prolly crack the hood if you used the stock strength ones with a CF hood and tried to close it by pushing down at the front of the hood.
I run without, and i have a length of...
Thanks JDub!
Comparing the specs of Mobil1, Platinum and Ultra, IT looks like the penzoils have a better cold viscosity for my application then the Mobil. My oil pressure on a cold start is up around 100 on a 80-90 degree day. So i could stand to use a little less when cold. The hot...
