    The TPS has 2 circuit functions, 1. To send a voltage to the ECU which controls Idle speed/control via ISC valve on off operation, 2. To supply Throttle position to the ECU via linear Voltage (0.5-4.6v or so). If your TPS Idle circuit is fine and is sending the Idle on condition to the ECU...

    I'd say Thats your fault with it then. TPS voltage at idle is around 0.34-0.76 and at WOT 4.5-6v, so your ecu is basically seeing a wot condition and fueling accordinaly

    HKS VPC/GCC - using the correct VPC chip?? everything wired as should be? checked that the VPC temp and MAP sensor are connected and operating?

    Ground as far back from the SAFC wires as possible or Alternatively use the ECU's second Power ground. 7M's have 2 grounds 1 directly above the other i.e. 1st 2 pins.

    TBH i have never came across a VPC mini, only the 1st gen and second Gen VPC's. Second gen was just a facelifed VPC released around the same time as the GCCII. even quite a heavy search on the japan side shows nothing of it.

    HKS F-CON mini is a preprogrammed Piggy back which is supplied with some of the HKS plug and play turbo kits for various cars. Its Programming is is specific to the Specs of the Turbo kit its supplied with.

    Have you tried running without the VPC and running the AFM? This is the only way to eliminte it as a problem. did you witness fuel pressure rise on a 1:1 on positive boost? If not you could be looking a a fuel pressure issue - Fuel Pump/resistor/regulator ?

    Let me know when your ready to install and il help you out with the correct jspec info (you can still use Mohds Site as a guide) and if your running bigger injectors etc etc i can sort you out with a basemap to get you going.

    We install the EMB mainly on 2jz-gte's. The only problem we have ever came accross is Ignition timing on UK spec 2jzgte's. On J-Spec 2jzgte's it works flawlessly (though no monitoring) but on UK cars it falls flat on its face when the ignition harness is used. I also have yet to hear of anyone...

    Doc, think this is the only Troubleshoot available. I know nthey revised the VPC with a version 2, though ive only came across one of them, have no idea if they included built in diagnostics.

    Steve i was gonna suggest using a simple line lock kit from summitt, and just using the rear system for lock, simple but effective, But my preffered way though i guess with a little imagination,i could get an Hydraulic E-brake to work just fine ... Marty

    Both, If the pump comes on, then your problem lies with the in relay/resister area. If the pump dosnt come on, then the fault is with the pump

    As long as all supporting mods and general condition of the engine/cooling system are up to the job. Personally i would'nt go for the emanage, id source a VPC and 550 chip which would be a better upgrade when combined with an SAFC
