Go ahead and buy it, wile you are at it, do a massive 100 foot burnout for me. :naughty:
The 1jz/2jz blocks have a casting where the starter bolts to. that same casting is about one inch thick. reason why the bellhousing is alittle shorter on the 1jz/R154 transmission.
Myth busted.
I have done the 1jz twin to 2jz twins and it's not that easy. Oil feed lines dont fit. I had the spacer flange made along with the downpipe flange. The power is there, and it's a good bang for the buck upgrade.
I just read the requirement to win hottest body work:
Hottest Body Work – This award is for the highest craftsmanship done to the exterior of a vehicle. Workmanship should look 100% factory.
I hope Import Tuner calls back!
Thanks again guys for your support and compliments.
Im all About AEM or Motec or any EMS that will be able to use the Knock sensors. Any ECU that doesn't use them is williing to blow up your engine if it's not properly tuned. Knock is not audible untill it's to late. If anyone tells you that it audible, they are playing with fire. Even if the Air...
The FconV pro doesn't get rid of the stock ECU. The Power FC is the only Japanese standalone that removes the stock ECU. It works like the stock ECU in every way.
You can use an AEM for a 2jz and a jumper harness, or use a 2jzgte harness.
Before someone comes in here an tells you that you should dissable VVTi, I can have the cams made for the intake side, the exhaust side is the same as any good old 2jz. You should had asked me last night as I was in Gotham City also. LOL!
I can also have Tomei make the cams, im going to sit...
Meassure the resistance on a resistor iridium plug and the BKR7E's? Let me know what you find, as I have run in to this issue with some EMS's. It's a hit or miss problem but it has happen to me and my tuner a lot that we have keept a close eye on the BKR7E's. Stock heat range is 6 going two...
The tri disk carbonetics is like butter, feels just like stock on pedal feel and it grabs hard when you need it to. The carbon does need to be heated up before a hard launch at the strip, but on the street, drive it like you stole it. :biglaugh:
Im prototyping a new twinplate right now, but I have driven all twin plates made for the 1jz, and put thousands of miles on them. lots of them where hard miles.
I have done plenty of VVTi cars and the power difference is not much, but having full torque by 2300 RPM sounds much better to me. Cams is not an issue and tuning is as easy as any other VVT engine. VVTi setup right can spool big turbos faster then any non VVTi 2jz with head work. I've heard so...
