Maybe other things are being over looked. Could be as simple as your plug gap. now that would cause a bad idle for sure. Dropping a plug even while its still in the box can close up the gap. Ive been there done that hahah

you could sell your current pistons and go next size up on oversize. Could possibly be the cheapest route..

+1 on brake clean (that stuff is truly amazing) I use johnsons brake clean. leaves no residue, doesnt have that harsh chemical smell and cleans really well. If you dissapsemble the head you could clean it in varsal, then wash it in hot soupy water, blow it off with compressed air then lightly...

Nice 3.0GT you got there. Good idea on just doin the stocker hg without doin the prep for a MHG. If your not gettin the head milled before you slap the head back on, take a straight edge and feeler gauges to the milled surface and make sure its flat. It looks like you dont need anymore head...

When I removed my rear seats to mock up my subwoofer set up I found probly 12 golf T's and another 6 under the spare tire (neither of which i dont think have been removed before). Plus even more scattered in other nooks and crannies. Maybe the first owner was a golfer?? hmm

IJ is always full of great and helpful information. For one the bad camber will deff not help with hook up. You will just be running the inside of the tire. Maybe try running better tire w/ around 25psi of pressure so your tire doesnt cup. If you can get hookup you will literally JUMP off the...

+1 Valve train noise is normal on 7m. I can hear mine while sitting in the drivers seat. Sometimes I have to tune my ears out from listening for abnoralities. I get super paranoid to sometimes, even if its normal. :aigo:

Suspension setup for more wieght transfer onto the rear will help alot with hookup also.

Maybe throw on some sticky rubber to get the hook up..

I thought MK4 TT rims had a super wide off set of +50 or something to clear the big brakes?
