ouch, but wouldnt that of caused a bind and wouldnt I be able to tell when I turned the engine over after I installed them?
One thing is ive got 1500miles on them and id figure with that many miles itd look a lot worse and I opened up the oil filter and checked it out at my 500mile oil change...
you can see that the 2nd compression ring has melted shut and all thats left of the top oil ring are tiny tiny pieces, where they went? I dont know i havent taken off the oil filter yet...
yea id like to know too. The rebuild has about 1500 miles on it and it didnt start smoking till 1000 miles and it actually ran great the whole time till the BHG came.
we used an expander but when we bought the pistons they came in a box together with just some plastic wrapped around them. We had to file some of the knicks out and the seller wouldnt do anything about it and wouldnt even discount em. Im guessing that we could of missed one of the knicks but im...

We got the engine out and pulled the bad cylinders piston. The broken ring was the TOP Oil ring. Then the oil ring spacer thing, dont know what its called. Pounded its self into the piston causeing excessive heat and melting the piston in that area and even melting aluminum...
