im confused... r we still talkin about supras? oh n IJ, the Tial thing bugged me for a while, my buddy's tial 50mm does the same thing, but its on a 2j. i tried tellin him there was somthin wrong if it was open at idle, but the second ANY gas is applied it closes.

aww... otay by your principle boosting, if the BOV did open at idle, allowing air out of the system that would be messing up the a/f, which is what u said the problem was in the 1st place.

what the fuck are you talkin about dumbass..... the only time the BOV should open, is when theres extra air in the system, not being used, ie: shifting, or letting off the gas after boosting. just leave.... *edit* damn IJ ya beat me

yes it is, the threads are covered with a lil plastic thingy, looks like it comes w/ a weld in bung as well. hows the quality on these gauges now? had a glowshift boost gauge a couple years back, and it started gettin stuck like 4 months after i got it.

yea that would work, but what does a BOV venting to atmosphere have to do with a loping idle? at idle no air is coming out of the BOV, so the a/f ixture isnt getting messed with.

start the car and let it warm up, at idle what does the KAR reading say? does it bounce around a lot, or stay fairly steady? did you set up the safc settings correctly?

i use a 3m hard rubber sanding block, or if i use the hook-it velcro stuff, its a hard plastic sanding block. the hard rubber one i use for doing contours in the body, or around body lines. i try to use the hardest longest one i can to get the smoothest line on straight panels. don't be afraid...
