i saw a silverish 86.5-88 supra that had just been in a wreck on hwy 70 outside of new bern. it was just past the bridge. it was this morning around 7 o'clock. i was just wondering if it was someones on here. it looked clean, except that it was just in a wreck (like it was in good condition...
high quality "door popper" kits have a manual override in case you have a dead battery. or if the battery in the wireless remote dies. not sure whether his does or not but the ones i have seen do.
yeh their definately knowledgeable. they do clean work too. i dropped my injectors off today so they can send them out for flow testing. i have venom 680's that came with my car. i read the post about venoms so i know people have had a lo of problems, hence the reason for a flow test. if they...
is it still out there? i went by there today but only saw the burgundy one. i havent seen you around. i have the two tone one(obviously from my sig) but its not on the road right now. were you at their big "supra dyno day" a few months ago? also, i looked at your profile, it says your running...
alright. hopefully i can figure it out. i know its hard to know what im talking about when you are not looking at the same thing i am. especially without any pictures or anything, and even then, it can be hard to tell exactly what your looking at. anyway, you gave me some useful information...
i have the KS's rewired already just havnt connected them to the rest of the harness. i have coax cable i guess...planned on splicing the center to the clear wires on the ecu plug and then pull back some of the "net cable" and twisting it, then splicing to the brown with blue, that way if i have...
awesome. thanks a lot. the splicing has blue tape over it...which after looking all over for wiring threads on here, means its a factory splice? so what did you do? should i just remove the brown/clear wire from the splice and use that same brown with blue wire to ground my new KS shielding?
i have a question for OP. did you have any brown wires sticking out under where the intake manifold would be? did you have any splices in your harness after you pulled off the factory tubing? i posted my own thread that goes more in detail with related questions but i havent had any helpful...
Also, the reason I suspect these brown wires is that the harness side(away from the ecu) has them sticking out away from the rest of the bundle under the intake mani. But as I said when I follow the wires I find that they appear to be spliced to a 'brown with blue wire'
Thanks for the post but that is still unhelpful. Before I got my car someone had done a KS rewire but they did it wrong. The wires at the ECU are clear but they've been cut about 2 inches from the plug..any other ideas?
hopefully this is in the right section. i have a question about the knock sensors on the 7mgte. more specifically, the wiring for them. i am in the middle of a rebuild and planned to re wrap my harness while everything is out. so i got all the tape and tubing off the harness and there are a few...
i don't know then. i have sprayed mine down multiple times and it didn't seem to do anything. also, i would think that while driving the engine will be hot enough that the water cannot settle. maybe i haven't had any issues bc i haven't let it sit with water on it. usually after i hose mine off...
my point was not that every thing everyone does is beneficial. my point is that the factory doesnt always do things the best way. also, since you mentioned the BHG, mine was good until 132K miles and it has been taken care of pretty well. i dont mean to start a big argument. i dont plan on...
no offense but figgie with your argument you rule out the need to do any modding to the car. i mean if it was supposed to be done the factory would have done it right. for example:
-lowering
-intake
-exhaust
-metal head gasket
-more boost
im not trying to be a dick or say that you are...
i was there too with supradude88 however neither of us had our cars. we looked at yours, i was hoping you would come over so i could hear an RSR in person.
