yeh, if you just like the shape of the 89+ i say get USDM ones, paint the middle to match the car (if you want it to look like there is no middle section), and tint the sides so they are darker cherry red like the JDM...please dont modify JDM 3pc..that would be FTL

if you dont want the middle section then why destroy a perfectly good set of JDM 3pc by painting them...someone else could use them that actually want the 3pc. if you simply want darker tail lights just get some tint spray and problem solved. or if you just like the setup/styling of the 89+...

i would think ammonia will work as well. ammonia breaks down the glue in tint and also turns it purple. that is why when you tint you windows you have to pay attention to what kind of glass cleaner you use, unless of course you wanted purple windows.

i did not order the bearings, the previous owner had already bought the pistons, rings, gasket set, and bearings. i am hoping that i can use the standard size bearings. which part should i machine on the rod? You have to machine the rods to use arp rod bolts?

if it is good quality tint it will actually help the defroster. the other guys are right though, it is goin to be hard to remove the tint without messing up defrost..

well like ozz said, it could be your radiator. i think the first thing i would do is the head gasket and hoses and thermostat...i was actually having a similar problem and will be pulling my motor in a week or two to fix all my problems. which include head gasket, hoses, some other gaskets...

coolant not cloudy at all? how do you know the headgasket didnt seat? you can try replacing the cooling hoses and the thermostat...but if you know the headgasket is bad you kinda want to fix that...

what is an acceptable RA? i know everyone says "as smooth as possible" but that could be different for different shops. as smooth as possible for some shops could mean using 50grit sandpaper..

yeh i have a whole gasket kit in evergreen packaging and a set of npr pistons and rings, which i assume are from mizumo as that is the only place i have seen them, i need to measure the pistons to make sure of what size they are, i was told they were .20... EDIT: I just went and looked at...
