^ i want an aftermarket lip. my stock on is actually in really good condition but...i still want an aftermarket, maybe 2 or 3 hole. not many people sell them though
gotcha, thanks. to clarify, you're saying that if i set the fans to come on lower than when the thermostat opens then once they kick on they will just stay on? so, i should set the controller to come on a little after the t-stat opens, like 195* or something?
some places, like a pull it yourself yard, will give you just the housing. as a matter of fact i got two housings and the place i got them from has/had 2 or 3 more, you just had to go take them out.
which part? and without the correct information or a link to the correct info, your post is just plain unhelpful :P
and cajun: i planned on wrapping the probe wire with electrical rubber, or do you think it will melt? also, this may be a super-noob question but which in the radiator inlet...
Well the sender for my gauge is thread in but the one that's connected to the fan controller is the push through type. I ordered the fan controller from suprasport and did not kno that it wasn't going to be thread in. Any (effective/safe) way to modify or change the one they have me into a...
maybe my post was confusing. my gauge sender is different than the sender to my fan controller. i need to know where to put both senders. the direction with the fan controller say to put the probe through the rad fins close to the inlet pipe..i plan to use the gauge, look at the temp and then...
i know this has been asked but i am still not sure. Titan is a rebadged cometic, and so your saying it has the viton coating. when i look at my new titan mhg it looks like its just plain steel gasket. i expected the viton to actually look like a rubber coating but i cant tell. is it possible...
well if that was a response to me, im just telling you. the first response you will always get is to use the search option. if you have, thats generally a good thing to put in your original post that way you dont get bashed. not trying to be an asshole just informing you that the mod is usually...
it doesnt appear as tho he does....its not lex 550s, its "lex/550's"...which means lex AND 550s, its not just one thing. needless to say, you have a lot of research to do before you start thinking about doing anything to that car.
unless of course i have been in the dark all this time about lex...
i am confused i guess. i hav a FAL adjustable fan controller. im just wondering where to plumb my gauge so that i can adjust it to come on at the right temp. and i wanted to know what the "right temp" is. while operating temp is 88C, if you wait to have the fans come on at 88 is doesnt cool it...
oh, im sorry, this is on a 7M GTE so i have no extra e-fans from the factory besides the ac fan. i was just wondering when the stock clutch fan kicked in. also, where would you recommend putting the temp gauge sender if the bottom of the rad is a bad idea? thanks
wel li havent put my motor in yet so i have a little time before i have to worry about overheating. my rad has a bung which looks like i can put the sender in it but i wasnt sure if grounding would be an issue.
stock t-stat is 192* btw. i was just wondering when the stock fan kicks in/when...
they are supposed to pull at least 1400CFM each. some places rate them at 1360 and others say 1660 so i figure somewhere between there as it probably depends on amperage
