no problem they work good, I dont have alot of miles or alot of horsepower on mine but so far so good.
So glad I have an assortment of valve shims, Ive been trying to get the clearances setup right into the middle of the measurements and ive got them all back into spec at least maybe like 1 or...
So I found my smoking problem. It was 2 exhaust side valve stem seals lost their tops, They were new felpros when I originally put the motor together. Idk is the valve stem seal failed or if the machine shop did it when they installed them. I also got all my springs changed. Hope it helps this...
Well the egr cooler gasket blew out, so I decided to pull the motor and do some more refreshing up that i shouldve when I originally built the motor.
It got New rod bearings also, They looked really good except had alot of trash in them. I cleaned the engine and parts really well before...
Mine were real ACL bearings i got from rock auto. The beck/arnly box looked about 20 years old. I had ACLs in it before which I still have the box for them and they were extremely old as well, The new bearings were identical to the ones I removed.
Idk about ITM bearings but I just bought a cheap cheap set on rock auto, i think it was like $4.50 or something for the beck/arnley box and When I opened the box I was suprised they were ACL bearings. Just a thought.
Ive got the DET3 so i am on map sensor instead of afm so once I get my injectors, afpr and walbro installed. Im hoping to get 400ish hp. By your recommendation im running that .83ar s362 on my 7m. Well see what happens, motor is apart right now getting the upgrades mentioned plus new oil pump...
So how good is the autotune software? Ive got the DET3 on it but that plug and play EMU is definitely on the table, If the autotune is good then consider it sold. Its just hard to get the map filled in correctly without a dyno it sure would help.
Just a thought, Never see much of them in the import world. My brother has a Holley HP setup on a Stealth ram 383 with procharger in a camaro and loves it. Says the self learning the majority of the map is the nice part and easy to tune.
Would have to swap over to GM sensors and figure out...
I was thinking probably $175-200 for the usdm lip would be feasible. The jdm lip its hard to tell ive never seen one up close so idk what all it entails, I dont know how hard it would be to make the ducts and all.
Got to remember shipping costs wont be so cheap with them, and that adds to the...
Im interested also, But I just did the garage door seal strip on mine and its about as close to factory as ive seen. And as low as my car is ive hit it quite a few times and its held up great. Ive been suprised.
Not really, picked up a wideband and a set of EVO 560cc injectors and clips. Got the DET3 converted over to MAP sensor and am slowing getting things worked out on it. The Slave cylinder went out the other day and its been so hot I havent cared anything about messing with it.
OK so I got the det3 converted over to map, thing is the table is mostly incomplete, So I started using the log window to verify what is there is correct and its way rich. According to the Freq IN vs the Freq Out. So ive started adjusting the fuel table to get them as close as possible Using the...
The 2.4k ohm resistor goes from pin 8 to pin 10, then the wire from pin 10 goes the the AFM, The resistor does not go between 10 and the afm. If you get what I mean.
Pin 7 is the FREQ OUT wire that will go to the ECU. So basicly your cutting the AFM wire that is going to the ECU and the AFM...
