So on the first pump> Normal pedal travel, but super firm w/ no braking power?
2nd pump> normal pedal travel, softer pedal but better braking power?
How long a duration does it take for the bad symptom to re-occur?
If youre driving on the freeway for a long period w/o using the brakes, with...
How long does this take for your rock hard pedal to go away? in terms # of times you need to press the pedal?
you say it takes to warm up? engine warm up or brake system warm up?
If its engine warm up, try taking your car around the block a few times to warm up the engine, without using your...
Im running a 19x10.5 (+35) with 285's and my fenders needed to be rolled. The only way to get the +27 to fit, is to run with a narrower tire, such as a 265 or 255.
Ive test fitted a 19x10.5(+35) on a 285 and it barely cleared with fender rolling. it rubs slightly on hard compression at around the 2 -3 oclock position where the fenders actually change folds.
Im running a 19x10.5 (+43) offset, but used a 3mm spacer since going up steep driveways or very very hard compression it slightly rubs my rear coilovers.
I ended up adjusting my pushrod too, but i havent completely eliminated a slight spongy feeling in the pedal. im not sure what the problem is now. This is my 4th MC installed, ive gone through 5 mechanics who bled the lines themselves.
Update:
I located a 1995 4Runner MC w/ABS and it bolted up correctly. You'll need the 4runner resevoir, fortunately our fluid level cap works for the resevoir too, but you need to keep the resevoir topped off as the sensor sits a bit higher than stock.
I cant say i noticed a huge difference...
4mm is alot of clearance. I cant imagine why you would contact the back of the spokes against the calipers unless the wheels are flexing or the spacers are flexing. Are you having contact on both wheels?
what makes you think they are hitting? if you have 4mm of clearance from the back of your wheel centers to the calipers, maybe something else is hitting.
I plan on swapping my MC to a 4runner one, but the resevoirs are different. Im curious how the sensor in the supra actually senses if the fluid level is low. Inspecting the unit, the stem(sensor) looks like a sealed unit. There is a round cushion that slides up and down the stem. Can any of you...
Im running a 19x10.5 (+43) with a 285 and it didnt require any rolling, but i test fitted a 10.5 (+35) with a 275 and it rubbed a bit. With rolled fenders you might be able to get away with a 10.5 (+30) and a 275 without pulling the fenders.
Ill keep that in mind about not leaning the head, that makes complete sense. I actually ran the course in reverse which was pretty interesting coming down the straight going into turn 15 and then 14 my car was a pig getting out of the turn in 3rd gear, but was too damn hard to get into 2nd (sogi...
