    Uhm, to fix valve train noise, tune up the valve train. Adjust your shim clearances (valve lash) p.s. use the search button

    You're not going to know how many shims, or what thickness you'll need until you've torn it apart anyways! But you don't have to take the cams off until you're ready to swap out the shims (unless you get the tsrm tool, then you still don't have to) Get a set of feeler gauges, get those valve...

    Well I've got a small sandblaster I could try, plus I get some Por-15 which says i don't even need to remove any rust for it to work & stop the corrosion! I'm just hoping it's not too thick to use in my spraygun, it would suck to have to hand-brush it

    Wow! You did a fantastic job cleaning up that bay Doward! You've inspired me to do the same, got any tips? How exactly did you get under that tray? Limber fingers and sandpaper? What grit did you start at, around 130 is what I'm thinking.
