    Jebus' Build/Bolt on Thread

Looks like you're making great progress! Besides the glitches that is... Is it actually the pump thats not pumping? Is it getting power? What mods have you done to the fuel system, 12v mod? resistor bypass? I plan to use the existing wiring only to trigger a new relay then run new larger...

    Just Another Rebuild

Haha, tell me about it!! Damn doing things right takes freakin forever! We both could've put down 2000 miles on our engines, then gotten BHG and Rodknock, and have enough time to start on a second build by now :biglaugh:

    External oil pressure regulator?

Maybe the variance from engine to engine with shimming the pump, is simply because old springs are being used? Is this a wearable part? Sorry if this is slightly off topic :)

stripped thread on the exhaust side on the head

iirc, 10x1.25 but i could very certainly be wrong!! What I really responded to say, is get it over with, and do an upgrade! Get Bigaaron's upgraded hardware, his kit comes with the drill bit, tap, coils, everything necessary to install :)

    Lisle 36200 Keeper Installer HELP!!

Hahaha, give it one days rest, and try it tomorrow :) That's what I did with the same springs and tool, and it worked for me! Make sure your head is set down on something very stable, and of course support it from the edges so you don't bend any valves, careful not to scratch the surface! You...

My piston rings are gone...what are my options

The wet compression test has nothing to do with the cylinder head, read what p5150 posted again, wet test is for checking the rings / cylinder walls ability to seal. Soo, what JaV Said!! Sounds like you need new rings, and maybe a new turbo

My piston rings are gone...what are my options

I was under the impression that a dry/wet compression test is sufficient to check the rings ability to seal

Chevy Springs Mod + Port/Polish Qs

Yup, that's how mine fit, with the retainers in the head, i just drop the spring in straight, then compressed it down real quick, and they seat themselves quite nicely :) I used the Snap-on tool, you can use it to remove the springs too, just instead of using the magnetic end bare (it's too...

Kylefoto is jumping on the bandwagon, build thread!

^^ I've always (as if i've done it more times than I can count on my hands lol) just used a craftsman 1/2->3/8 adaptor, never broken a single one, or the deep socket I use! Good luck at toyota Kyle!!

Kylefoto is jumping on the bandwagon, build thread!

Unfortunitely with ARP Headstuds, the only way to get enough clearance in the head is with a 3/8" 14mm 12 sided deep socket!
