Went back out to the car to try trouble shooting some more and noticed that I had power again after about 10 mins. I checked and double checked my wiring and removed all the wiring I had just installed to see if that was the issue.
Turned the key to the on position, then to starter position...
I just finsihed installing my safc-2 and was trying to figure out why the car wasnt running correctly and I came to notice that a couple pins in the SAFC harness wasnt making contact on some of the pins. I put pressure on the connector (making the connection) and went to hit the starter and bam...
Thats shitty man, after having that happen after all the work. Then getting to redo it again. You can probly get a heater core cheaper then $300 since I only paid $150 tax's in for my new one locally. Look around a bit, could save you some $$.
No, I said it will sound like one. From your video it sounds like noise from the valvetrain. Rod knock is pretty distinguishable as it litterally goes "KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK"
It will make that sound faster when you rev it up, and slower at idle. The knock will get louder too when your revving it.
At full throttle the a/f is a 10.3:1
With throttle off its 14.7

Im going to check out the VF today. wish I saw your sig earlier could have used some of that info!

Sorry for the confusion jdub, ill lay it out a little better next time for you.
Current status:

When boosting to 13-14 psi is when the problem happens. At 10-11 psi it runs fine.
Its almost like hitting fuel cut, but not...

Ive been looking around everywhere and cant find the wiring pin out at the ECU for a pre-89 yellow plug harness to wire in a SAFC II.
Did find a write up for an 89+ grey plug but thats it so far.
If someone could enlighten me on the RPM, Throttle position, Air flow signal, and knock wires...
This past weekend I took the supra up to the drags for the first time after breaking in the fresh motor. Even tho only being an 1/8th mile track I had a blast driving, car performed much better and felt stronger then ever.
Mods this year are rebuilt motor, fully ported cylinder head + valve...
You can hit 60 psi??
I tried cranking my aeromotive fpr up for testing and once I get to 40psi vac off the pressure gauge jumps from 25psi to 40psi constantly back and forth. Cant get any more pressure out of it.
One other test I did was check the fuel pump operation by jumping the...
Thats what Im running for fp with the vac off/on and no codes.
No maft-pro, decided on a different route once winter comes, delayed parts early in my build threw everything off course.
One thing I did was remove the mbc and it seemed to fix the problem. maybe I was hitting fuel cut? I have...
