Ive been running fp at around 36psi, I have been experimenting by turning pressure up and down. I dont have access to a welder to instal wideband until sunday :(
running 550's, afpr, j-tube removal, stock afm, walbro 255
What should I be running fp at for about 9 psi on stock turbo?
I just installed my aeromotive fpr. When I turn up the fuel pressure with vac off its stable on the gauge until I get to around 40psi then it starts to jump around very irracticly.
Even at 6psi of boost the car begins to cut out and miss, like hitting a wall. under 3000rpm its OK but...
I purchased the zeitronic ZR2 with the data logger option, it has the ability to log afr, boost, egt, tps and lambda.
Need to figure out which wire going to the ECU is for the boost sensor so I can splice into it to connect the box. They offer a seperate map sensor to measure the boost...
Thanks for some insite guys, some more installed pics would be great too. Im wondering if I got the "big" spearco rep because it doesnt fit inbetween the left hand bumper mount and the oil cooler.
Sorry, thought I had posted that it was a replica but It does require relocation of the oil cooler.
Do I require an aftermarket cooler and lines as nuggets had posted previously or can I get away using the stock one?
Id like to keep both of my fog lights since this is my daily street car. Something like placing the oil cooler in front or behind the intercooler could maybe work by building new brackets to secure it.
As for not having to relocate the intercooler, dm says right on theyre site that it requires...
Im curious on what others have done when installing theyre spearco replica intercooler and where the oil cooler was relocated too? I know I found a thread a long time ago on intercooler install pics but cant find it now.
If someone has some pics or just info on this it would be really...
It was a nice cool day today since all the crazy forest fires smoke, played the role of clouds, soo in went the coilovers. Was a little bit of a pain to install the rears since I had to disassemble all the interior in the trunk area to remove the TEMS motors and do modification the the rear...
bahh its almost just as hot again today, couldnt wait to get out of work. Deffinatley hasnt been this hot in years eh Sapper. The beach is sure nice tho, lots of hotties in bikinis is a ok reason to not work on the car. :biglaugh:
Its just like Christmas every week :)
Just need a little time to do the install, hoping for coilovers, wideband, aeromotive frp, 550's, and lex afm sometime in the next week. Hopefully us okanagan people get another day that is actually barable to work in.
Got up to almost 104 degrees in...
19psi on a stock fuel pump is a BIG no no, but your also running a stock Ct26 up too that too??? :aigo: Its efficiency runs out at 14psi, nothing but a hot charge past that. Upgrade the fuel pump before you do some damage and move to a 57trim atleast.
As for the boost pressure problems, you...
The lipp boss jr is much tougher then the upgraded ct26. The main thing that makes the CT26 so unreliable is mounting a large wheel on small o.d. shaft. Lipp has built something with a larger shaft and with high quality components.
Boss Jr. ftw over upgraded CT26
If your car is overheating at idle you have another problem on your hands. Pressure test the cooling system also to see if you have any leaks too and see if the rad is plugged up, or air in the system. Dont want to jump right to a bhg on a rebuilt motor.
Since you have no boost leaks in your...
