Good too see some of you are liking the pre-89 look :)
Heres a pic of the front end which I prefer over the 89+ front end. Looks so much more aggressive to me.
A little update, Maft-pro just arrived today. Started soldering it into the patch harness I got off a member. Its going to make the...
Beautiful craftsmanship! the pie cut and welds must have taken a lot of effort to place correctly. A+ man, cant wait to see the torque numbers this setup puts down!
The colors may be similar but not the same, Its not a stock color. Has violet mixed in with the paint which changed the look a lot from the grey.
Im just north of you in Kelowna
Grim has a good point there. You will want to test like he says because things can get too slippery in there and the LSD wont lock up as well. The more worn out the LSD the less friction modifier.
Some of the porting pictures. Relieved valves, ccing the head

Exhaust. I cant find pics of the tail piece but its pretty low key and tucked up super high so it doesnt scrape.

You sure can. Cylinder #6 is bit tough though (the furthest back stud). Make sure you drill and tap straight on all of them or the studs will be crooked.

Another thing, are you still on the stock BPV?
A little history on this 1987 Supra turbo. I picked this car up in May of 2008 for $4k. It was completely stock still rolling on sawblades. Everything about it was in awesome shape inside and out. From 2008 to present many pieces on the car have been rebuilt, replaced or refurbished to make it...
A couple weeks after pulling this aritso, I put on the 57 trim. Then took down a R32 GTR skyline with an RB26DETT at 14 psi. It was even closer on that time as I just over took him by the top of 3rd gear. Supras work good for being almost a classic :)
Ah yes, there we go. You have an exhaust mani leak at the head. Even if one stud is loose it will leak. Mine sure did and only one was had pulled out of the head. The old factory toyota nuts tend to loose theyre locking ability over time and just loosen off too.
Heli-coils, new studs, locking...
I can hear my ISC valve clicking pretty loudly right after turning off the motor. It clicks like 5 or 6 times so its pretty noticeable. Maybe get someone to stick theyre head under the hood when you turn it off.
Ive come to realize that no one really wants to tell me much about it.
As for machining the garret wheel down, is it because it isnt "short" enough?
Great info btw
Im curious if anyone knows where to find garret upgrade parts for the CT26? I have a 57 trim turbo right now that is bunked and I figure since Im only going to run it this year so Ill go 60 trim.
There are lots of turbo shops locally for diesel truck performance that rebuild/upgrade turbo's so...
If you havent read already but 6 pucks do chatter a bit when backing up and sometimes when down shifting. Just takes a little practice to get the hang of then no problem.
